It is common for ladies in the Nigerian society today to worry
over the issue of being unmarried, especially after they have reached a
certain age, and there is little reason to wonder why this is so. After
all, the environment places a huge premium on being married and having
kids, isn’t it?

While this may be true, it is also possible that being unmarried isn’t as bad as it seems. In fact, leading publisher Betty Irabor has explained that being unmarried before 30 doesn’t make so much difference.
In a new piece on her magazine Genevieveng.com, she hinted that not being married before 30 might just be a gift in disguise.
She further explained that women over 30 are mature and fully formed as well as ready for the challenges that could come with marriage.

“I don’t think women should be worried about being unmarried before 30 because many women before that age have not yet gone through the school of life which prepares them for marriage.” – Betty Irabor.
She added that: “A lady over 30 is mature and fully formed. She is not easily fazed by some of the challenges and distractions that could come with marriage.”
