The incident had reportedly taken place at the Isolo
Magistrates Court, Lagos , Nigeria , as the 35-year old man charged with fraud had collapsed in the
courtroom.
News reports have
revealed that a suspect brought before the court of law over fraud charges,
reportedly collapsed during the hearing causing drama in the courtroom.

The suspect identified
as David Usman,
who was accused of collecting N7, 000 from his victim, had reportedly fallen
down as the court registrar had read the charge against him.
The reports reveal that
efforts to revive him had been futile and that the presiding Magistrate, Mrs A.K. Shonubi,
had immediately contacted the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Aswani, who had
asked his men to bring the suspect back to the station.
According to PM News, Usman had been arrested by the police after
he and others who are reportedly still at large, had defrauded their victim
identified as Ogechi Udemadu, aged 19.
The victim had
reportedly been accosted at 7/8 Bus Stop in Ajao estate and forced to give the
money on her to the fraudsters.
The fruadsters are also
reported to have asked her to go home and bring her mother’s jewellery to be
converted to cash.
The victim who
reportedly claimed to not have known what she was doing at the time, revealed
that she was later taken to a hideout in Isolo where some youths had attacked
the fraudsters.
Usman had been arrested
and taken to the Aswani police division, while his accomplices, had fled before
they could be accosted.
The suspect reportedly
confessed to the crime at the station and now faces charges of obtaining money
under false pretence.
The suspect is to appear
before the court again on today.
